The Fine Line Between Ambiguity and Blatancy: Claudia Joy/Denise (Army Wives) [19 Sep 2007|09:25pm]
[ mood | accomplished ]

Title: The Fine Line Between Ambiguity and Blatancy
Author: niuxita21
Fandom: Army Wives
Pairing: Claudia Joy Holden/Denise Sherwood
Spoilers: Pretty much all of season 1.
Notes: A few minutes late because I was sick all afternoon and couldn't get myself in an upright position until a while ago. Also, this is entirely too many words for a show with only one 13-episode-long season. So, uh, consider that your warning. It's wordy. And relatively image-heavy.

I'm here, for whatever you need.Collapse )

Yay for long-ass fic! [05 Aug 2007|01:28am]
Or at least, yay for the longest fic I've ever posted, which is not really saying much, considering the feeble number of fics I've actually completed. Still, this deserves a celebration. Two, in fact, for getting me out of my lazy, unproductive stump and for being crackfic. Woo!

Title: Printed in my Pocket
Fandom: Grey's Anatomy/Gilmore Girls crossover
Pairing: Addison/Lorelai
Rating: G. Cause making it PG would be too much of a stretch. Holy crap, my longest fic ever is G-rated. I am officially 80 years old.
Disclaimer: These characters belong to their respective owners. The only thing I own is the insanely convoluted way of bringing them together.
Spoilers: References to episode 3.15 of GA and to episodes 7.07, 7.12 and 7.13 of GG.
Note: This was supposed to be much much shorter and part of a bigger fic I wanted to call something like "Five women Addison might have fallen in love with." But then I started writing this one and it turned into a freaking epic and it just kept on going and wouldn't stop, so now each of the five will be a stand-alone fic. If I can remain in this productive mindset that long, that is.

Re-opening the archive [19 Feb 2007|07:33pm]
To add these two pieces... from the femslash_today Porn Battle. Yes. I wrote porn. What can I say, it was a combination of the "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself" mindset I got in when I saw the sheer amount of Ugly Betty prompts that no one was tackling, while I'd been dying for some UB slash since forever; and the "Bored senseless without cable" mindset that I've been in practically all week (and who knows when that will end). So these popped up. I actually had to modify the story to fit the prompt once they were finished because I started "writing" them in my head while on the bus. Go figure. Anyway.

Title: Untitled
Fandom: Ugly Betty
Pairing: Alexis/Whilelmina
Rating: Um, R? PG-15 (if such a thing exists)? Either way, it's not nearly as porny as it should have been.
Prompt: Secrets
Disclaimer: Ugly Betty and its characters are not mine. I'm just borrowing harmlessly.

Title: Untitled
Fandom: Ugly Betty
Pairing: Alexis/Amanda
Rating: Ditto above
Prompt: Power play
Disclaimer: Ugly Betty and its characters are not mine. I'm just borrowing harmlessly.

Now excuse me while I go watch a Disney movie or something.

Yay productivity! [11 May 2006|10:26am]
[ mood | sleepy ]

Cause, even if long-fic is not being very friendly to me right now, drabbles are still faithful, so I deliver yet another one so that I don't go rusty. I'm also halfway through a Sam/Elena longer-than-a-drabble piece and I've got half a page of Hermione/Casey, but, considering the insane amounts of crack that that last one entails, that's a pretty good start. I've yet to introduce Casey into the whole mix and I'm deathly afraid of doing it, lest I be hanged and crucified by the conservative SVU-ers. But I digress. My point is: I got fic. Yay.

Title: None as of yet
Fandom: Conviction
Pairing: Alex/Christina... kind of.
Rating: G
Word count: 104 :O
Disclaimer: Conviction and the characters that make up this show are not mine. I'm just borrowing harmlessly.
Summary: Christina gets something she wasn't expecting. Can't be more specific or I'll give the entire thing away.
Note: Written for the challenge at conviction100, May flowers.

The smile is still on her face...Collapse )

OK. So. I so totally shouldn't have read this. Cause now I feel completely validated to go ahead and write one of the most cracked crossovers that's ever flown across my mind: Hermione/Casey. I have no idea HOW am I even going to begin working that whole thing out, but all I know is that, if I manage to do it by June 21st, I'll feel like freaking Garcia Marquez. And that's good enough motivation for me.

I think I'm starting to get the drabble-writing love that is going around the net. They're actually kinda fun to write, who woulda thought.

Title: Tears of Rain
Fandom: Conviction
Pairing: None
Rating: G
Word count: 100, how much do I rock?
Disclaimer: Conviction and the characters that make up this show are not mine. I'm just borrowing harmlessly.
Summary: Jessica's reaction to what happened to her rape victim in the last episode.
Note: Written for the challenge at conviction100, April Showers. Again, many thanks to the mod for the wonderful prompts that have gotten me in productive mode after months of hibernation. :D

I finally beat writer's block! I'm so awesome! Granted, this is just a drabble, so if I couldn't even put this one together, then I'd really have to have started reconsidering my intended college major. But I did, so no worries there.

Title: Involuntary Sleeping Pills
Fandom: Conviction
Pairing: Slight (very, very slight) Brian/Christina
Rating: G
Word count: 110 *ducks from flying tomatoes*
Disclaimer: Conviction and the characters that make up this show are not mine. I'm just borrowing harmlessly.
Note 1: This is my first drabble. That's pretty much all you need to know.
Note 2: Written for the very first challenge at conviction100, Miles to go before I sleep. This is probably not the interpretation that any normal person would have gotten out of that little phrase, but I swear this drabble can be tied to the title. Promise.
Note 3: MAJOR props to Her Almighty Naruness (did I get that right?), morningafter2, for giving me the Prompt That Killed the Writer's Block. Thanks to this, I may now actually be able to continue my 3/4 long Alex/Casey sandcastle. *g*

Random fiction [25 Mar 2006|01:19pm]
So this has been sitting on my hardrive for quite a while. It was originally supposed to be part of an application to the film program at York (the university where I'm going in the fall) but then I changed my mind and switched film for creative writing and so this was never sent. It's only been read by a couple of people so I'm posting it here now. It is a story of 250 words or less that I was supposed to write using these 3 prompts:

- A spark
- Something tight
- A misunderstanding

That + boredom = this completely nonsensical piece that, ironically, I actually kinda like. So enjoy (or not, maybe)!

I'm on a roll, apparently... [06 Mar 2006|11:24pm]
Remember that thing I was asking all sorts of weird questions relating to the deaths of ADAs for?? Well, I finished it. Sort of. It was just one of those things that takes over your brain and doesn't stop until you give in and write it, even if it's completely cracked. It's not a fic, it's more like a parody of a poem I studied a couple of years ago in English class and that I found so freaking brilliant. I actually hadn't thought about it very much since then, but one day I was watching SVU and it instantly popped into my head and hasn't left since. I'm not very pleased with what came out of it, but since I'm not exactly sure of what it is exactly, then I guess that's fine.

Anyway, enough with the rambling. The poem in question is 5 Ways to Kill a Man by Edwin Brock. It might help to read that one first, I think.

Title: 5 Ways to Kill an ADA
Fandom: Law and Order: Mothership and L&O: SVU
Pairing: None
Rating: G
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters hinted at here or what happened to them. That was all Dick Wolf's doing.
Note: References to "Loss", "Night" and the final fate of Claire Kincaid (whichever episode that is).

So yeah. Apparently, the only reason I created this LJ was so that I could join all those femslash communities I somehow kept stumbling upon, maybe post a little bit here and there and, why not, to encourage myself to start writing fic again. Which is kinda what this post's all about. My first ever published piece of fanfic. Scary. Anyway, let me continue before I chicken out...

Title: Complicity
Fandom: Law and Order: SVU
Pairing: Alex/Casey (shuddup. that's just how my mind works ok??)
Rating: PG-13, I guess, for some small girl-on-girl action.
Disclaimer: OMG I can't believe I forgot this. Please don't sue! I don't own Alex or Casey, they both belong to Dick Wolf et al. I'm just having innocent fun here. Nothing wrong with that, right?
Note 1: Written for the femslash_today "Alone" ficlet-a-thon, delivered very, very, VERY late. Apologies for that *sheepish grin*
Note 2: The reason for this lateness was that it took me AGES to finish this baby because the right ending line(s) just wouldn't come to me. Until it did this morning while I was combing my hair and all became right in the world again. But that's how it is with me and fics. Endings are terribly important.
Note 3: For the purposes of this story, let's just assume that Alex and Casey have been working together as SVU ADAs for about a year or so and that they alternate turns in court. Also that Alex's return from WPP was all handled nicely and well and now everything's back to normal.

OK then...
